ANDRE 3000 JOINS SCOOBY-DOO: ORIGINS

Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you?! Likely at a Hollywood casting office considering the amount of star power this big dog is bringing to Netflix’s upcoming SCOOBY-DOO: ORIGINS. According to Deadline, Outkast musician Andre 3000 has signed on for a recurring role in the highly anticipated series. The “Hey Ya!” rapper and singer joins a cast including Cathy Moriarty (CASPER, TALES FROM THE CRYPT), McKenna Grace (SLANTED, FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S 2), and Jona Xiao (RESIDENT EVIL: INFINITE DARKNESS). 

As part of Outkast, Andre 3000 collaborated with Killer Mike and Sleepy Brown on the song, “Land of a Million Drums,” from 2003’s live action adaptation, SCOOBY-DOO.

Executive produced by Greg Berlanti (CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA, RIVERDALE), the show reimagines the beginnings of the classic Coolsville High teens whose paths cross at a summer camp in the aftermath of a supernatural murder. Will you be tuning in to Berlanti’s dark twist on this iconic gang?
