The late legend Dolly Parton may have had eternal beauty, but she wasn’t a vampire. In fact, she was on the slayers’ side. A recirculated interview with BUFFY: THE VAMPIRE SLAYER actress Sarah Michelle Gellar (I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER, SCOOBY DOO) revealed that the country titan served as an uncredited Executive Producer on the hit TV series.
Parton’s production company Sanddollar had produced the 1992 original film, from which the series was adapted. As Gellar puts it, the young actress had thought hadn’t paid much attention to the series until she received positive feedback about her performance from Dolly herself.
