Last week belonged to M3gan, but there’s a new mistress of the dolls now. Elvira, the vivacious character brought to life by Cassandra Peterson, is getting dolled up thanks to a new collaboration with Barbie manufacturer Mattel. As part of Mattel’s Monster High School Skullector series, Elvira’s new doll sold out moments after it went on pre-sale on Friday the 13th.
This detailed new figure pays homage to the classic silhouette that helped cement the comedic vixen in Horror history. Elvira’s signature eye makeup, bejeweled dagger, and voluminous beehive hairdo adorn the doll alongside original touches like spider web heels and cascading earrings. Mattel even released a photo shoot with what appears to be a recreation of her Movie Macabre set. The Queen of Halloween even rocks an easter egg from her cult classic film Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
